I’m a meditation guide because I want to show people how powerful a meditation and mindfulness practice can be. Meditation has not only healed me from debilitating anxiety and depression but it’s also helped me manage every other aspect of my health.
Fighting with your husband? There’s a meditation for that. Stressed about your a**hole boss? Try meditation.
Can’t stop yourself from picking up a box of Dunkin Donuts munchkins every time you pick up your son from hockey practice? (OK, that might be mine—but you get the point.)
My short meditations, practiced daily, have helped me to create a level of awareness and compassion for myself and my habits that have allowed me to experience true health, not just a superficial appearance of it.

But then there are the slipups, the slide back. Life can sometimes be a chaotic mess, and I’m not the one who’s going to tell you that your mess isn’t real. But it’s important to remember that you are not that mess. You’re a perfectly made soul living in a perfectly imperfect world, and making mistakes is inevitable.
I’m the first to admit when I’m falling off my practice wagon.
You might have seen me standing in my underwear in public, declaring resolutions for the New Year. That was a fun (read: scary AF) post to write!
When it comes to maintaining physical and mental health, I have some obstacles—turning 40, managing a big household, growing a business, navigating a Hashimoto’s hypothyroidism diagnosis… But none of it is impossible to manage or overcome. It just takes mindfulness, compassion, and one more thing that is especially important to my success—accountability.
