I have lots of tools I use to manage my anxiety.
Meditation is my favorite, and the one I share most often with you, but I also call on tapping, journaling, self-hypnosis, and affirmative prayer to anchor me when I’m floating of course.
Sometimes my tool is just a tiny reminder that everything isn’t all bad—a reminder that I’m here, I’m safe, and I have a choice in every moment to choose peace over panic.
That tiny reminder often comes in the form of one word: And.
Let me explain…
Oftentimes, when I’m in the middle of panic or pain or intense worry, it feels like that’s all there is.
I’m stuck in the or.
I can feel pain or pleasure.
I’m sad or I’m happy.
I’m panicking or I’m calm.
But the truth is that it’s never all bad.
This is when I call on the and.
“My bills are stacking up, and I still have a safe home to sleep in tonight.”
“I sabotaged my healthy eating with all that junk last night, and I can choose my next meal with love.”
“Everyone is putting all their problems on me, and I have the power to set stronger boundaries.”
The and is magic. The and gives me hope… because it shows me the truth of every “bad” situation.

I created the Bliss Note above for you in the spirit of the and.
It’s to remind you that the sun is always in the background, holding you in warmth, no matter how heavy the cloud cover is at the moment.
The clouds are making it seem so dark, and the sun is still shining right behind them.
Please keep it and share it with the people you hold in your heart.
You can access more free gifts and my whole collection of hand drawn Bliss Notes when you sign up for my weekly newsletter here.
