The holidays are a time for togetherness, giving, and joy, but they can also bring stress and overwhelm.
If you get caught up in the holiday crazies like me, try using this simple meditation to reconnect, center, and to find peace.
[How to Practice this Meditation]
[1] Start by finding a comfortable seat (and that seat could even be in a dressing room if you’re in the middle of holiday shopping).
[2] Sit up nice and tall, crossing your legs if that’s comfortable, or if you’re sitting in a chair, place both feet flat on the floor.
[3] Let your hands rest gently (palms down) on your knees or thighs.
[4] Now take a few easy inhales and exhales.
[5] As your breath starts to slow and become regular on it’s own, repeat each of these mantras just three times either silently or aloud on each exhale. Let’s try it together.
[Mantra 1] “I have all that I need. I have so much to give.”
[Mantra 2] “I am creating a circle of peace, love, and connection with all that’s good.”
[6] Continue with your easy inhales and exhales until you feel totally relaxed in your body… and be patient. It will happen.
