You know I’m all about keeping it real and REAL personal, and this post isn’t going to be any different.
I’m finally back on the workout wagon – getting in short runs on the treadmill and outside with Mr. Borucki, fitting in squats in the laundry room, and even squeezing in some yoga when I can get an hour away from the baby. (Or, sometimes, letting the kids join in…)
And I feel amazing.
I want you to feel amazing, too! I’m going to connect you with an amazing offer from Stayfree® later in this post that will help you to get active and stay in shape this winter.
However, one thing that keeps me away from working out as much as I want to is that not-so-fresh or so-clean feeling afterward. I can get away for an hour, but sometimes that’s all the time I have. The shower has to come just a little bit later.
Don’t judge – I know you’ve been there, too.
You’re doing your best to fit-in your workouts, but you have to jump right back into your day. You’re hitting the gym at lunchtime or right after work, and then you’re rushing to your next errand or home to make dinner for your family. There’s no time for anything but your workout.
As a busy mom, a hot shower has become a luxury.
To stay fresh and clean during my busy day, I always keep a couple key essentials on hand:
– I always carry cleansing cloths in my bag and keep them in every bathroom in the house. My favorites are my Yes to Blueberries Cleansing Facial Wipes and my Shobha Rosewater Freshening Cloths. They’re great for freshening up after a sweaty activity, and keep my acne-prone skin clean and clear. The scents are pleasant and never overpowering, and they both come in travel packs that fit into any size bag and even tiny spaces like my glove compartment.
– I never forget to wear Stayfree Ultra Thins, especially during physical activity like yoga. They’re super-thin and undetectable under my yoga leggings, and they keep me feeling calm, cool, and connected during my practice. Yoga (and all fitness) requires concentration, and Stayfree allows me to worry about less and concentrate on my workout more. Their Thermo Control® Technology is actually inspired by high performance athletic fabrics to quickly pull moisture away from your body and allow air circulation.
– I also use dry shampoo for dark hair (because most dry shampoos just make you look like you threw baby powder all over your head). Here’s a recipe for a DIY dry shampoo that’s all natural and super easy to make:

This year is all about no more excuses and getting out of my own way. I’m going after what I want, and what I want is to be happy, healthy, and fit. There’s no reason that I can’t be a busy mom and fit at the same time.
And if your excuse is not having enough time to get to yoga class, I have a special gift for you from my partners at Stayfree.
