It has become a annual tradition for me to create a New Year’s meditation video, and I’m especially excited to offer this year’s to you.
This meditation holds so much personal weight for me. 2015 is already looking like it’s going to be my most successful, but that success isn’t going to come without me taking some risks and doing things I’ve never done. I’m in the middle of writing my first book on meditation, and I can’t tell you how many feelings – both good and a little unpleasant – that creating something new is bringing up for me.
But in the end, there’s nothing to it but to do it.
Meditation can also be approached as a conversation with yourself. It’s a way to check in and explore whatever you’re feeling, battling, or struggling with in the moment. The act of exploring allows for questions to be asked and answers to be received, sometimes simultaneously. As your practice grows and evolves, the answers will come more easily and you’ll gain even greater insight into yourself. It’s all about method, not magic.
Every meditation is a learning experience. Even when the answers come slowly or not at all, you’re learning more about your practice, how to approach your inner self, and how to practice differently next time.
There is no way to fail at meditation. Just like in life, you only fail when you stop trying. (I learned that from my friend, Quentin Vennie.)
So keep practicing (or start today)…
Stay blissed in! xx
