Wait a minute, you’re just not that into me??
I think you’re great. Actually, I know it.
And I hope – especially since I’ve been POUNDING IT INTO YOUR HEADS FOREVER – that you know you’re great, too.
Being great is great. Feeling great is better. But what happens when something happens that makes us feel less than the spectacular, miraculous, divine creations that we are?
What happens when we get DUMPED? Or fired. Or just run-of-the-mill rejected? What do we do to let it go…
Besides convincing ourselves that it’s so obviously a huge mistake on the other person’s part for not wanting all of our awesomeness, sometimes we get really hurt and start rejecting ourselves. We blame ourselves. We question our value. We do a bunch of stuff that not only doesn’t help, but it sinks us deeper into sadness and feelings of worthlessness.
So what do we do when we’re sinking – when we’re strapped to a big giant anchor of rejection and despair?
I mean, come on, you already know what I’m going to say.
