FINALLY!! The incredibly talented and adorable force behind Blogilates.com, Cassey Ho, is on the East Coast for the Shorty Awards, and there was NO WAY I was going to miss sneaking in some girl time with her.
I’m only an hour from the city, so we carved out some time on Saturday afternoon for brunch, some YouTubing and a quick shopping run (quick, because shopping is almost my least favorite thing to do). Our friend, Bianca Jade (@mizzFITnyc on twitter), lives in the super trendy and chic Meatpacking District in Manhattan, and she sweetly allowed Cassey to stay in her apartment. The whole neighborhood is filled with the most fabulous restaurants and designer flagship stores.
Brunch was super delish and I had my first Petron margarita of the season (sooo yummy). We ate and gossiped and laughed in the restaurant SUPER long, and by the time we walked out, there was a huge line down the block (oops). Cassey got a chicken salad and I had traditional Huevos Rancheros (hold the ham please).
We stopped in a couple stores including Diane Von Furstenberg, where I had a really hard time not breaking my bank on her line for GAP Kids. There was also a sequin T-shirt dress that I was checking out, but I kind of just bought a farm (my budget just won’t allow a $500 splurge this month).
I made it out of our shopping trip on budget with just one pair of boyfriend-style short shorts. Mr. Borucki is pleased. Then it was back to Bianca’s for more chit-chat and a little Q&A session on video! Earlier in the day, we asked you guys to post questions for us on our Facebook pages.
