There are not enough words to express how amazing I think Michael (I call him Mike) Perrine is. He’s been my good friend and diet guru for nearly 15 years and has inspired me in so many huge ways. Mike advised me on my first juicer purchase 13 years ago and gave me my first colonic 5 years ago (yes, I let him give me a colonic). He’s knowledgable, honest, sincere, compassionate… and kind of cute, too (ladies?).
When I started the shift from having a little family blog on the internet to turning my lifestyle and ideas into a full-scale business, Mike was one of my biggest supporters. We’ve done a bunch of videos together teaching people about the raw lifestyle and dispelling nutrition myths and fears. (Check out the links to our other videos at the bottom of this post.) I admire him as a friend and as a true professional, and I can’t wait to work with him on bigger projects in the future.
Mike is a holistic health counselor, a colonic therapist, a natural foods chef, and a raw foodist for 17 years! He is a co-owner of a mega-popular and well-regarded colonic therapy center in New York City and has worked alongside the incredible Dr. Fred Bisci on numerous projects (my videos with him are also posted below).
In our latest video (recorded on iChat – I miss him SO MUCH), Mike and I discuss a serious health question, how to get started on a raw diet, and (of course) some shallow beauty questions that I need answered. We also laugh – a LOT.
