My absolute favorite thing about YouTube is how it gives me an opportunity to meet the most bad-ass people from all over the world. I have formed some seriously awesome friendships with people I’ve met on YouTube or as a result of being on YouTube. I found new yoga mates, swapped recipes with totally inspirational raw foodies, and even landed my first real-life yoga job! Woo hoo for the interweb!
The two-year anniversary of Bex Life workout videos (those first ones were so terrible!!) is coming up in December (I can’t believe it!), so it’s super appropriate that I start celebrating (two months early, why not?) with a collaboration video with one of the rising stars of fitness on the internet (the WHOLE internet… this girl means BUSINESS).
Who: Cassey Ho, the adorable star and creator of Blogilates.com – BlogilatesTV – OGorgeous.com (on second thought, she’s more like an adorable superstar). She’s bringing pilates, yummy recipes, and designer mat bags to the world. (I really need one of those bags to add to my neon sparkle spandex collection.)
What: two videos – a pilates workout for my YouTube channel and a high intensity interval training (HIIT) workout for hers.
Where: East Coast/West Coast collab!! I’m keeping it real in Jersey and she’s in super gorgeous San Francisco with the Golden Gate Bridge as her backdrop. (Fun Fact: I grew up in Roebling, NJ, home of Roebling Steel – the factory that supplied the wire rope for the Golden Gate Bridge.)

Why (you should watch): Because the first few minutes of each video feature a Skype chat where we answer silly questions and mostly just laugh, a LOT.

It’s all about the pilates… which is HARD! I’m going to keep using the excuse that I just had a baby, but it’s been six months. I need to work on my core! Cassey is a total pro, and how jealous am I that she gets to make her video in that beautiful location!?!
Do this HIIT round 3x for maximum results. Perform each exercise for 30 seconds with NO breaks in between. Then give yourself one minute of rest between each round. I make Cassey do burpees. Haha.
