I’m like a little kid when it comes to getting the mail everyday. I’m the first to run to the mailbox to see if there are any surprises inside for me (frowning at bills but rejoicing in a new issue of my one of my many magazine subscriptions). Today I squealed with delight when I saw that my custom garland by Wild Cucumber Designs had arrived! Packaged sweetly in a padded envelope with custom cloth mailing label, my adorable handmade felt garland lay inside along with a personal note from the designer, Lindsey Moldenhauer. What an amazing, special baby gift for Baby Bex!
I plan on using the garland to decorate the “baby cubby” that we’ve built in our bedroom. It’s a converted closet that we’ve opened up to fit the crib and some baby things until she moves into her own bedroom. The colors are perfection, and I love the little hearts thrown in here and there. Lindsey is a true earth-girl and chose a felt that was made in the USA from recycled plastic. She also makes lovely fabric wallets that she sells online in her Etsy shop.
Love Wild Cucumber, love Lindsey, love crafters! Check out Lindsey and her designs on Facebook and on Etsy.com. Read her musings on her blog.
Another Etsy crafter I’m loving at the moment is Aisha Khan. Her hand-beaded jewelry is just divine. I love the bracelet I purchased from her recently and plan to add many more of her pieces to my collection.
