I have to stress that I am NOT a fan of the “cheat day” theory. When you truly change the way you look at food and nutrition, you’ll start to find pleasure in eating things that are good for you. Mother Nature provides us with so many amazing textures, tastes, and variety, that I feel there’s no need to pollute ourselves with junk food-even if it’s only one day a week.
That being said, an afternoon spent making deep fried Oreos and watching “My So Called Life” on DVD with my daughter, Winona, is sweeter than any fresh fruit off the vine. As Winona aptly stated “bad for the body, good for the soul.”
Girl talk, battered goodness {only two for me, thank you}, and Jordan Catalano ruled our Sunday afternoon.*swoon* >> watch My So Called Life for free on Hulu.com
