One of the unmistakable signs of the season at our house is the sight of soccer cleats strewn across the front porch and balls lying in the driveway. This year, Jack and Winona are playing on our town’s recreational soccer league and I’ve signed on as Winona’s team’s assistant coach. Calvin is enrolled in an ice hockey clinic that his dad takes him to every Monday.
