This is my first in a series of entries titled “I Can’t Live Without…”
This is also the entry where I finally acknowledge that although Justin is a very important and integral part of this wedding, this blog is really just all about me and my wedding psychosis and obsessive complusive-ness.
Ok, now for my first I-Can’t-Live-Without item:
Why I love love love the Brides Essential Wedding Planner:
- it’s a giant hardcopy portable record: a modern bride I am, a technophile I am not. I love lugging this giant paper file of all my wedding notes and lists around. it can also serve as a journal, like this blog, of our process… it’s all very romantic, you see.
- it’s probably the least expensive {less than $20} and most list-packed book I’ve found: yes, there are about 1000 lists in this book that I don’t need and will never use, but I’m keeping them anyway… maybe to help my daughter, Winona, with her future giant wedding.
- it’s a three-ring binder: so I’ve added plastic pencil pockets {for receipts, stamps, thank you notes, junk} and business card holders {actually, I think it came with those}
- it has pockets: I love pockets
- it has mini-etiquette guides, invitation samples, etc: because I’m completely clueless and have no manners
- did I mention how cheap it is?: forget the wedding planner-get this book!
I do have a wealth of pics, files, stationary designs, and lists on my laptop, but I’ll put it all on a DVD when the wedding is over and stick the disc in the book for safekeeping. I’ve almost always kept a journal or a website or blog since I’ve been about eight, and I’m excited to add this new volume to the catalog.
So if you’re newly engaged, I strongly suggest you pick up this book to whip your little bride-to-be butt into shape. Actually, I have a girl in mind right now who I’m totally sending this to.
