Today was a really good day… for love and for our feet. We were originally planning on taking a hike in the Pine Barrens, but after very little sleep last night I thought that some Starbucks and a stroll through New Hope, PA, may treat us a little better. So after dropping the kids off at school, we packed a little cooler and dove up to Lambertville, NJ, where we parked the car and walked over the bridge to New Hope.
First stop: Sterling Leather, where we bought the most adorable Minnetonka Moccasins perfect for the chilly fall day. I’ve been craving a new pair ever since I foolishly sold my old knee-high pair on eBay several years ago. Totally cute…
We hit a few more shops looking for wedding goodies and inspiration, checking out the local artists’ goods, and stopping along the way to spot trout in the stream next to the main road. It was a typical gray fall day, perfect for strolling along, handholding, and sipping mocha flavored coffee…
Our last stop was at one of our favorite New Hope shops, Hearts Afire where {yay!!!} Justin finally found his wedding ring… and it’s awesome!! It’s rustic, modern, and masculine and totally suits him.
You’ll have to wait for the wedding pics to see it, but we’re totally psyched on the design. Of course, we totally blew the budget… again, but we think it’s well worth it. I was grinning ear to ear all day with the image of my future husband wearing his wedding band in my head. I can’t wait for him to wear it was my new husband on our wedding day…
Tip: For a nice spot to stop and grab a small meal, let me also strongly recommend Martine’s, an adorable, friendly spot on the river where Justin and I had the most scrumptious tomato, bean, and sausage soup and crab raviolis while watching the swans float in the river below
