Before we get started, a Mother’s Day message for all my ladies:
Some of us give birth to children, some to ideas, some to movements, some to businesses. Some of us care for humans, some for animals, some for a garden. The Universe chooses to teach us to love and care in so many ways. We have all been put in the place of guardianship or stewardship over something… a baby, a pet, our friends, our co-workers, our neighbors, our homes, our environment, our passions. How we choose to accept these great responsibilities is what defines our character. It’s how we leave a legacy and teach those who come after us to treat each other and their own responsibilities. Happy Mothers’ Day to all the moms, all the caretakers, all the stewards of miracles… including our great Mother Earth.
This past Mothers’ Day, I spent some time looking through old photos of my mother who passed last November. Here’s a pic of my mom when she was about to burst with all 12 pounds and 24 inches of me back in 1978. I missed her terribly this year, but having all my little chicken nuggets to celebrate with me made it not so sad.
While we’re on the subject of kids and pregnancy and maybe not being ready or willing to push a 12-pound baby out of you at this very moment, let’s talk about the pill… and how it makes lots of women crazy to the point they can’t take it.
Yep, I’m one of those women.
I swear that none of my kids were accidents… but that’s no thanks to birth control pills. Or rings. Or shots. I’ve never been able to take any type of birth control without it changing my mood, my sex-drive… it’s torture.
If you’re one of those women (or know one of those women) who can’t tolerate the pill, you’ll want to watch my second video with Alisa Vitti – founder of FLOliving.com and author of Woman Code.
Woman Code is now available in paperback and ready for you to soak up all it’s goodness. I’m giving you a taste of Woman Code in today’s video, and I also posted last week’s video which tackled the topic of PMS and why it may be an indication of something very wrong… Yes, PMS now can mean a whole bunch of crappy stuff in the future, including cancer!
